Cable Operators Take a Giant Leap Toward DOCSIS 3.1

Gearing up for the rapidly emerging Gigabit era, cable operators are pinning most of their hopes on DOCSIS 3.1, a next-generation broadband tech specification. Comcast recently announced it would conduct market trials of the new spec this fall.
